The start-up of the "Mediterranean TGV" line coincided with the opening of three new stations :

These stations are characterized by the modernity of their buildings, their forms and their structures. Located on the new TGV High Speed railway linking Valence to Marseille, they represent a new offer for the inhabitants of the departments of Drôme and Ardèche (Valence TGV station), for the inhabitants of the departments of Vaucluse and Gard (Avignon TGV station), and for the inhabitants of the Aix countryside, the plain of Marignane and Martigues, as well as Vitrolles (Aix-en-Provence TGV station).
